Paul Lampkin


REDFIELD — Paul Lampkin, age 87, of Redfield, died Saturday, August 24, 2013.

He was born June 14, 1926 at McAlester, Okla., a son of the late James Lampkin and Eunice Green Lampkin.

Mr. Lampkin was a United States Navy Veteran of WWII and the Korean Conflict. He was a nurse’s aide at the Veteran’s Hospital in Little Rock for 32 years prior to his retirement. He was a member of River Road Church of God.

He married Helen Bradshaw Lampkin on December 23, 1947 at Pine Bluff, and she preceded him in death on August 20, 2011. Five brothers and one sister also predeceased him.

Survivors include his children, Paulette Berry, J. L. Lampkin, Paula Burris and husband Marcus, and Stanley Lampkin and wife Patricia; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and four brothers, Willis Lampkin, Hershel Lampkin, Doyle Lampkin, and Raymond Lampkin..

Funeral services will be Tuesday, 10:30 a.m. at River Road Church of God with Brother John Threat officiating. Interment will follow in Redfield Cemetery by Fuller Hale-South Funeral Services.

Pallbearers will be Scotty Berry, Colby Berry, Shawn Berry, Brent Furgason, Brad Lampkin, P. J. Lampkin, Jason Burris, Jeff Burris, and Jimmy Burris.
