Reduce staff right
Editor, The Commercial:
During former President Bill Clinton’s terms, the number of government employees was reduced using legal and well reasoned methods. Four hundred employees were commissioned to study where reductions could be made and not cause unwanted and damaging results. Twenty five thousand dollar voluntary buyouts were offered. Reduction in force reduced employees by 377,000. This was accomplished so well that few people noticed any upheaval or detrimental results. Congress permitted it, as is their right and duty.
During former President Barack Obama’s terms there were about 3 million non-citizens deported using formal legal orders and involving court processes. Some returned and were apprehended; to be deported summarily without further court procedures needed. During these operations conducted over the first and second terms of these two law-and-constitution-respecting presidents, there were no laws broken by them and no great upheavals caused to the social fabric of the country.
The present lunacy being perpetrated by the federal leadership and the woefully unqualified henchmen catering to them is costing billions and using military personnel to accomplish immeasurably worse results. It will, and already has, caused some disasters.

I’ve read in this paper that Trump’s ‘hit man,’ Elon Musk, is a known druggie with about 14 kids with who knows how many different women. Does that sound like someone who should be in charge of anything governmental?
