One person was killed and two were injured in a two-vehicle traffic accident on South Blake Street Monday morning.
Alice Wooley, 73, was taken to Jefferson Regional Medical Center where she was pronounced dead by a doctor in the emergency room at 12:05 p.m., according to a report from the Pine Bluff Police Department.
Lt. David Price said that Wooley was a passenger in a 2007 Nissan Quest driven by Floyd Wooley,73, that was north on Blake Street and had begun to turn left onto 13th Avenue.
A 1994 Toyota Camry, driven by Anetra E. Wyatt, 32, of Pine Bluff was southbound on Blake Street at the same time and both vehicles collided at the intersection of 13th Avenue and Blake Street.
Both Floyd Wooley and Wyatt were taken to the hospital for what Price said appeared to be non-life threatening injuries.
He said in the news release that the intersection is controlled by a traffic signal. The accident was reported at 11:16 a.m.
The accident is still under investigation and anyone with information is asked to contact the police Traffic Division at 850-3450 or the dispatch center at 541-5300.
