Olive Kathryn Choate Owen, 85, White Hall, passed away Tuesday, August 28, 2012. She was born December 20, 1926 in Crossett, Ark. to the late J.E. and Olive Mae Avery Choate.
She graduated from Central High School in Crossett and was a member of Bethany Baptist Church.
Olive had recently worked for Wal-Mart and also for Aramark. She was a member of Eastern Star.
She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Belvia Avants; brother, Henry Choate; sisters, Clara Bryant, Irene Vorhesse.
She is survived by sons, Sam Avants of Rison and Sherril Avants; daughter, Kava Owen of White Hall; brother, John Choate; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great great granddaughter.
There will only be a visitation from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
