Cecil Yeager
Cecil Burnard Yeager, 80, of White Hall, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, February 7, 2018, at his home.
Mr. Yeager was born on August 7, 1937, in Kosciusko, Mississippi, to the late Jodie Aaron and Ethel Pitts Yeager. He was reared and received his education in Kosciusko. He moved to Pine Bluff in 1953.
Mr. Yeager was a welder for over 40 years at Weyerhaeuser Company (currently Mondi USA, LLC) in Pine Bluff.
He was a member of White Hall United Pentecostal Church. As a dedicated Christian and servant of the Lord, he led worship in churches for over 60 years. He was also a member of Harmony Deer Club. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Mr. Yeager is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mary Marcell Yeager, whom he married December 26, 1957 in Greenville, Mississippi; daughter, Dana Yeager of White Hall; extended family- his “other” daughter and her husband, Vanessa and Mark Hopkins and their children (whom he called his grandchildren), Hannah and Hayden Hopkins, all of White Hall; and three sisters, Flossie Odem of Alabama, Tressie Leckie of Chattanooga, Tennessee, and Mary Marks of Fayetteville, Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three sons, Darrell, Chris, and Chawn Yeager; two brothers, Charles and Aaron Yeager; and three sisters, Cathleen Pierson, Joann Yeager, and Esther Pearl Yeager.
The family will receive friends Friday, February 9, 2018, 6:00 to 8:00 PM, at White Hall United Pentecostal Church.
Funeral services will be Saturday, February 10, 2018, 2:00 PM, at White Hall United Pentecostal Church with Reverends Chris Dixon, Richard Price and Sammy Alverson officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
