STAR CITY – Mrs. Nellie Mae Knight, 76, of Star City, Ark. passed Saturday, January 24, 2015. She was born in Gould, Ark. to the late Richard Phillips, Sr. and Lular Mae (Jasper) Williams.
Survivors include, Husband, Melvin V. Knight of Star City, Sons, Melvin Suell of Star City, Jeffery Knight of Jacksonville, FL, Kenny Dixon of Chicago, Ill., Willie Knight of Pine Bluff; Daughters, Shirley Fells of Grady, Vivian Finney and Lynda Maddox both of Star City, Gwendolyn Ford of Milwaukee, WI; Brothers, Gilbert Suell of Star City, Earl Jasper of Fayetteville, Bennie Jasper of Pine Bluff, Willie McDonald of Richmond, VA, William Phillips, Richard Phillips, Nicholas Phillips all of Bakersfield, CA; Sisters, Dr. Ruth Aaron of Carson, CA, Earle Brown of Long Beach, CA, Dorothy Suell of Detroit, MI, Frances Holden of Los Angeles, CA, Juliette Matlock , Lynette Watson, Bobby Bailey all of Bakersfield, CA; 17 Grandchildren; 11 Great-Grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Polk Chapel Baptist Church-Yorktown by Rev. Alvin Newburn. Interment will be in Polk Chapel Cemetery by Brown Funeral Home of Pine Bluff.
Visitation will be Friday, 4:30-7p.m. at Brown Funeral Home.
Her body will lie in-state Saturday, 12:15p.m. until service time.
