Mosaic Templars set MLK Challenge 2017

Mosaic Templars Cultural Center, a museum of the Department of Arkansas Heritage, at Little Rock will host MLK Challenge 2017. The event honors the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

The challenge will be held from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, Jan. 16. Youth ages 12-18 will participate service projects that challenge them mentally and socially, a spokesman said in a news release.

Volunteers will be divided into service groups and transported from the center to service sites, which will include the Pulaski County Humane Society and Arkansas Foodbank. After service projects are completed, participants will return to the center for lunch and a closing ceremony.

Participants may register at mosaictemplarscenter.com/mlk-challenge. Details: Liz Marg, liz.marg@arkansas.gov or 501-683-3592.
