A power outage affected between 1,500 and 1,600 Entergy Arkansas customers north of White Hall early Wednesday night, according to a spokesperson.
Diane Tatum, regional customer service manager for Entergy, said that equipment failure had locked out a circuit, leading to the outage that began at 6:08 p.m.
“We have a troubleshooter en route at this time to make the repairs,” Tatum said. “The plan is to see if we can bypass the damage and put the affected customers on another circuit. We hope to have the repairs made in the next 30 to 40 minutes.”
The Entergy Arkansas website showed the outage affecting areas along Highway 365 from just north of Highway 256 to the immediate west of the Pine Bluff Arsenal up to Gravel Pit Road, and along Gravel Pit Road to the west to just past Interstate 530.
The outage also affected Entergy customers along Highway 104 from Interstate 530 north to Gravel Pit Road.
