Maurice Jackson


Mr. Maurice Al-Aziezaes Jackson, 22, of Pine Bluff died May 2, 2015 at home. He was born in Pine Bluff, Ark. on January 8, 1993 to Maurice and Dr. Melissa Faye Jackson.

He began playing the drums in church at the age of 8, by the age of 12 he was the 1st chair snare drummer at his middle school and later at his high school in Alabama. Maurice attended community college in Alabama for a while before his family moved back to Arkansas during 2012. He attended UAPB but decided to pursue his dream to be a tattoo body artist. Maurice is most known for his tattoos.

He is survived by his wife, Halle Jackson; parents, Maurice and Melissa Jackson; children, Luke Alijah, Caydence, and Rhylle Nicole; three siblings, Kevin (Brittany) Collins, Marquise Jackson, and Shailey Jackson; grandparents, Shelley A. Richardson, Walter Davis, Jr., Sylvester Jackson, Jr., and step grandfather, Nathaniel Richardson (Annette Marie); great-grandparents, Henry Childs and Irene Childs-Jenkins; a special friend Halle Camp Jackson, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Mass will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, May 9, 2015 at St. Peter Catholic Church. Visitation will be held today at Christian Way Funeral Home 5 – 7 p.m.
