Mary Finley


Mary Tucker Finley, age 88, of Pine Bluff, died Saturday, July 14, 2012.

Mrs. Finley was born February 10, 1924 at Griffith Springs (Lincoln County), a daughter of the late William Locklin Tucker and Sarah Catherine Owen Tucker. She worked for a number of years for Pine Bluff Merchantile, and later as payroll clerk at W. S. Fox and Sons. She was a member of the 28th Avenue Church of Christ.

Predeceasing Mrs. Finley are her husband, Ersel Dean “Ed” Finley in 1987; two sisters, Gladys Tucker and Jewell Hankins; and a brother, Ira Tucker.

Her survivors include a brother-in-law, Gene Finley; a number of nieces and nephews, including Pat Porter of Pine Bluff, Peggy Wells of Little Rock, Sonny (Ben) Tucker of Lubbock, Texas, Bonnie Hardin of Tishomingo, Miss., Larry Hankins of Redfield, Margaret Palmer of Conway, Barbara Wallace, Pam Warren, Brenda Brown, Joy Starnes, Beatrice Stevens, Kenneth “Bubba” Finley, Sharon Mercurio, David Finley, Jim Finley, Randy Rogers, Helen McLillie, Linda Anderson, Diane Holbrook, and Don Finley; along with many other loving family and friends.

Funeral services will be 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, at Fuller Hale-South Chapel with Clarence Fell officiating. Interment will follow in New Owen Cemetery at Griffith Springs.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m Tuesday at the funeral home.
