STAR CITY — Margarett “Neno” Harris, 70, of Star City died Sunday surrounded by her loving family at Happy Valley Nursing Home in Malvern. She was born December 16, 1945 in Grant County to the late Malvin and Mavine Brewer Gray.
She had attended New Life Baptist Church in Pine Bluff and was retired from Southwestern Bell where she was the first Woman cable splicer and foreman for the company in Arkansas.
Survivors include a son, Thomas Earl Evans Jr. (Laura Beth) of Mt. View; daughter, Cindy Musselwhite (Gary) of Malvern; a bonus son, Joey Crews of Star City; two brothers, Thomas Gray of Jonesboro, Edgar Gray of Pine Bluff; eight grandchildren, Tommy Harris, Justin (Sarah) Harris, Thomas Earl Evans III, Shawn Evans, Joshua Evans, Toni Billups, Cody Musselwhite, Tyler Musselwhite, and five great-grandchildren, Sheyenne Rook, Zander Logue, Ashlynn Wynn, Tyler Crews and Kayla Evans.
Visitation will be from 12-2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the funeral following at 2 p.m. with Bro. J.C. Patterson officiating.
