An 18-year-old Pine Bluff man was arrested Wednesday after he allegedly had sex with a juvenile female.
When he was interviewed, Brandon Lowe said he did not know the alleged victim, had never seen her and denied having sex with her, Detective Marcia Oliver said in a probable cause affidavit presented in district court Thursday.
According to the affidavit, police were contacted about the alleged assault on March 3 and when the girl was interviewed, she allegedly said she and Lowe had had sex five to 10 times.
Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set a $15,000 bond for Lowe on Thursday after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge him with rape.
Lowe, who said he would hire his own attorney, was ordered to have no contact with the alleged victim until the case is settled.
