M. C. King, Sr,
ST. PAUL, MINN. – Passed away peacefully on September 23, 2015 in his home in St. Paul, Minn. with wife and family at his bedside. M. C. was born February 17, 1947 to the late Tommie and Lula King in Pine Bluff, Ark.
He graduated from Southeast High School. He joined the U. S. Air Force in 1966. M. C. worked and retired after 35 years from Union Pacific Railroad. M. C. enjoyed fishing, gardening and spending time with his family.
M. C. King married Mary Lee Fisher on April 26, 1969 and the couple had six children.
M. C. was preceded in death by four sisters Flossie Johnson, Tommie Lee Sargent, Mary Frances Swygert and Rosie Lee King Boykin and one brother Larry Burrell.
M. C. leaves to cherish his memory his wife Mary Lee King; three daughters, Eddie (Michael) Viola of Northfield, Minn., Sherry (Darrell) Charles of St. Paul, Minn., Evelyn (JD) Hudson of Pine Bluff, Ark.; three sons, Terry (Paula) King of Pine Bluff, Ark., M. C. (Diane) King Jr. of St. Paul, Minn. and Rickey King of St. Paul, Minn. He also leaves one sister; Geneva Swygert of Pine Bluff, Ark.; four brothers, Abraham Johnson of Pine Bluff, Ark., James Swygert of Oakland, Calif., Henry (Carrie) Johnson of Los Angeles, Calif., Louis (Estella) Johnson of Flint, Mich.; twenty-six grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Funeral service 11 a.m., Thursday, October 1, 2015 with visitation one hour prior at:
