Funeral services for Mrs. Louie Christine James, 82, of Pine Bluff, passed March 11, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center will be held Saturday 2:00 p.m. True Vine “E” MBC 1001 West 2nd Ave. Pine Bluff, Rev. Leon Williams pastor, Rev. Aaron Johnson officiating.
She was born December 19, 1932 in Pine Bluff daughter of Benny Nixon and Ernestine Thomas. She united in marriage to Andrew James Sr. on April 3, 1950, to this union nine children were born. At an early age she confessed a belief in christ under the leadership of Rev. Robert Dickerson Sr. she became a member of St. Paul MBC where she worked in St. Paul Daycare Center, fondly know as “Aunt Louis” she loved being around family and friends she love cooking and shopping and helping those in need.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sons Henry James Sr., Larry James and two grandchildren. She leaves to cherish her memory, sons, Andrew(Rose) James, Michael(Valerie) Watkins of Chicago, Ill., Gregory Watkins of Pine Bluff, daughters, Evelyn James of Pine Bluff, Linda Ann Watkins of Crossett, Ark., Debra(Willie) Sargent of Pine Bluff, Maxine (Vincent) English of Little Rock, sister Maxine Ware of Chicago. Ill. Nineteen grandchildren, Fifty Two great grandchildren, a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins. Visitations may be made Friday 5-7 p.m. Regenerated MBC 1401 E. 6th Ave. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Services by Perry Funeral Home.
