L.J. Livingston, age 87, of Pine Bluff, died Saturday, August 25, 2012, surrounded by his family.
He was born July 5, 1925, at Locust Bayou (Ouachita County), Ark.
He graduated from Fairview High School, and entered the military as a United States Navy Seabee in 1943.
Following the military, L. J. began his career by opening Livingston Paint and Body Shop, which he owned and operated for 54 years with his son, Phil Livingston. He was a member of the 40th and Hazel Street Church of Christ.
His mother, Inez Phillips, and his son, Phil Livingston, preceded him in death.
Mr. Livingston is survived by his wife, Martha “Molly” Coston Livingston; his daughter, Sharon Bryant of Pine Bluff; and his grandchildren, Rance Bryant of Conway, Anna Bryant Breazeale (Joe), Reid Livingston, and Hillary Livingston, all of Pine Bluff.
He was cared for by Hospice Angels, for whom the family is forever grateful.
Graveside services will be Monday, 11:00 a.m. at Brown Cemetery, officiated by Roger Gean. Arrangements are by Fuller Hale-South Funeral Services.
Visitation will be Sunday from 2-4 p.m. at the funeral home.
