Livestock production meeting set for Feb. 24 in Eudora

A free livestock production meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 24, at the G.C. Johns Community Center Room at the old elementary school campus in Eudora, 901 Baker St.

The meeting will start at 10 a.m. and end with lunch at noon.

The meeting will focus on beef cattle and goats. Topics include herd health, parasite control, dewormers, beef cattle herd health vaccination schedules, adjustment of winter feeding for nursing cows, getting ready for calving, pasture weed control, cow-calf economics and the Conservation Stewardship Program for livestock.
