Funeral services for Leola Leach Givens, 52, of Pine Bluff, passed January 17, 2015 at Davis Nursing will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at New Salem Missionary Baptist Church in Sherrill, Ark. with Rev. Clark E. Thomas as Pastor.
She was born September 17, 1962 in Pastoria, Ark., a daughter of the late Joseph Leach and Earnestine Sledge Leach. She obtained her early education at the Pastoria and Rosenwald School, Barnett Junior High School and graduated from Altheimer High School in 1981. She furthered her education at Pines Vocational School (Pines VO-Tech).
She accepted Christ at an early age and joined New Salem MBC. She remained a faithful member of the choir and Sunday School.
Survivors are her sons, Terrance Givens, Broderick Givens, Carl Wilson, Jr., and Anthony Wilson all of Pine Bluff; daughters, Erica Wilson, Tanesha Leach, and Breana Beavers all of Pine Bluff; three brothers, Bradford Leach, Levan Leach both of Pine Bluff and Larry (Pamela) Leach of Rockwall, Texas; two sister, Linda Leach of Dallas, Texas and Lorrine (Frankie) Greer of Sherrill, Ark.; three uncles, Robert Leach, Eddie Sledge both of Pine Bluff, and Leodis Sledge of Sherrill, Ark.; two aunts, Lucille Sledge of Sherrill, Ark., and Cozie B. Sledge of Pine Bluff; one great-aunt, Ethel Russell of Little Rock, Ark.; ten grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held Friday, from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will be in New Salem Cemetery in Sherrill, Ark. Services by Perry Funeral Home.
