The Leadership Pine Bluff class had the opportunity to dive into the vital role manufacturing plays in the regional and global economy during the program’s economic development and manufacturing session in May.

The day began with a tour of Central Moloney, where participants got a behind-the-scenes look at how transformers are built and shipped to customers across the globe.

“The innovation and precision on display were a testament to the world-class workforce we have right here in Pine Bluff,” according to the newsletter of the Pine Bluff Regional Chamber of Commerce.

After a morning of exploration, the group had lunch at Sylvia’s Pizza, fueling them for the afternoon ahead.

“We then traveled to Suzano Packaging, where we learned about the complex and impressive process of producing bleached paper used in drink cartons around the world. It was a powerful reminder of how products we often take for granted are brought to life through skill, dedication and hard work.

“A heartfelt thank you to all our local manufacturing employees,” according to the news release.
