Registration is underway for a free six-week class in diabetes education at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.
DEEP (Diabetes Empowerment Education Program) will meet from 10-11:30 a.m. Thursday, June 2, and will continue Thursdays for six weeks.
Individuals with diabetes or pre-diabetes will learn how the disease affects the body, how to monitor and understand blood sugar numbers, and how to shop and cook in a healthier manner.
