The Black Pilots of America will hold their 20th annual fly-in Friday through Sunday, May 27-29, at Grider Field Pine Bluff Regional Airport.
During Memorial Day weekend, pilots will come from all over America to Pine Bluff to compete, entertain and introduce aviation to future pilots.
Black Pilots of America will host free airplane rides for youth each day at 3 p.m., weather permitting.
Events include:
• Friday, May 27, 10:30 a.m., flour bomb drop competition;
Independent reporting for Pine Bluff & Jefferson County since 1879.
• Saturday, May 28, 10:30 a.m., pilot proficiency and formation flying competition;
• Sunday, May 29, 9:30 a.m., balloon burst and spot landing competition.
