HOPE HULL, ALA. – Johnnie L. Frizzell, 81 of Hope Hull, Alabama passed away Monday, September 22,
2014. Mr. Frizzell was born November 12, 1932 in Humnoke, Arkansas to the
late L.B. and Alma Frizzell.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Zenobie Goggans and Margie James; four brothers, Burnice Frizzell, Nelson Frizzell, J.T, Frizzell and Donald
Frizzell.
He was a member of Oakdale Baptist Church in Grady, Alabama. He was a
graduate of Star City High School and the University of Arkansas. He was a
member of the US Army as a Military Policeman and was stationed in Germany.
Mr. Frizzell is survived by his wife of 32 years, Von Frizzell. He is also survived
by a son, Glen and his wife Tanya; a granddaughter, Misty Myers; two great-
grandchildren, Cody Pickens and Sydney Myers; and a very special grandson,
David Champion, whom he helped raised. Other survivors include two brothers,
William Frizzell of Star City and Charles “Buddy” Frizzell of Colleyville, Texas and
numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held at Leak Memorial Chapel in Montgomery, Alabama
on Thursday September 25th. A public graveside service will be held on Sunday, September 28th at 2:00 pm at Leek Cemetery in Star City.
