The Jefferson County Bar Association has elected officers for 2012. They are Thomas Brown, president; Zachary Taylor, vice president; and John L. Rush, secretary-treasurer.
The association recently announced that the Pro Bono Attorney of The Year Award for 2011 was presented to William M. “Shane” Bridgforth.
The award was presented by the Center for Arkansas Legal Services. The recognition is given annually to a local lawyer who volunteered the most during the previous year to represent people who couldn’t afford to hire an attorney.
