Ivy Center for Education announces a robotics meeting for students and an ACT Prep event.
On Tuesday, Oct. 16, from 6-7 p.m., Ivy Center for Education’s Robotics/Future Engineers will meet at Faith Presbyterian Church, 913 University Drive. The guest will be Sederick Rice, Ph.D, an assistant professor of biology at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff and director of the Math and Science Pre-College STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) Center.
Wednesday, Oct. 24, from 4-6:30 p.m., Ivy Center will sponsor the ACT Prep/College Readiness Workshops at the Donald W. Reynolds Community Services Center, 211 W. Third Ave. ACT Prep Workshops will be presented by the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. College Readiness Workshops will be presented by the UAPB LIONS Program and UAPB Recruitment. Students 7th-12 grades may attend. Bring paper and pencil. The sessions are free.
