Gov. Asa Hutchinson announced several appointments March 8, including two from Southeast Arkansas:
• Gregory Shapiro of White Hall was appointed to the Criminal Justice Institute Advisory Board for Law Enforcement Management Training and Education. His appointment expires Jan. 14, 2021. He replaces Paul B. Beran.
• David Burns of Star City was appointed as a Justice of the Peace for the Lincoln County Quorum Court, District #4. The appointment expires Dec. 31, 2018. He replaces Paul C. Carter.
