Hulan Clary
MONTICELLO – Hulan Russelle Clary, 86, of Monticello, died Wednesday
at Drew Memorial Hospital. He was born July 7, 1929 in Lincoln County
to the late Buford A. and Hettie Smith Clary.
He served in the US Air Force during World War II. He was a retired
bricklayer and a Baptist. He was a member of the VFW and the American
Legion.
Also preceding him in death were his wife, Marcelle Miller Clary; son,
Jimmy Dale Hodges, stepson, Rufus “Pete” Forrest Jr.; nephew, Terry
Dane; niece, Candace Rivers; and sister, Bettye Dane.
Survivors include three granddaughters, Lea (Steve) Faulkner of
Monticello, Tammy (David) English of Monticello, Sandy (Russell)
Coulter of Rudy; six great-grandchildren, Alex Faulkner, Logan
Faulkner, Logan Coulter, Erin Coulter, Bailey English, Sam English;
and one great-great grandson, Asher Lennox Faulkner.
Funeral Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Griffin Funeral Chapel in
Star City. Bro. Larry Wilkerson will officiate. Burial will be in
Campground Cemetery in Drew County. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Friday
at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Arkansas Hospice in Monticello.
