The Pine Bluff Kiwanis Club meets at noon Wednesdays at the Pine Bluff Country Club. On March 29, Jack Stradley, a member of the Historic District Commission of Pine Bluff, will discuss the Old Town Theaters Center.
Since moving to Pine Bluff from Texas about 2009, he has become involved in improving the downtown historic area of the city, a spokesman said in a news release.
Stradley served in the U.S. Air Force from 1971-1980 after attending Arkansas State University where he majored in vocal music. In 1980, he began working for Texas Instruments Inc., advancing from engineering technician to product marketing engineer, the spokesman said.
In 1997, he was hired by Rochester Electronics LLC. While there, he was the founding chairman of the Semiconductor Industry Association Anti-counterfeiting Task Force. In this role, Stradley worked at the highest level of governmental contracting to prevent the use of inferior counterfeit parts, manufactured in other countries at reduced prices, from being used in high-tech equipment and machinery in this country, the spokesman said.
“In 2011, he founded a consulting company to provide expertise in supply chain management analysis in areas of product obsolescence, counterfeit products awareness and marketing,”the spokesman said.
