Mrs. Hazel Lee Johnson Lewis, departed this earthly life, December 22, 2012 at the Jefferson
Regional Medical Center.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. James and Mrs. Mary Johnson, her husband of 52 years, Mr. Dequince Lewis, Sr., a brother, three daughters, and a granddaughter.
She is survived by sons, Dequince Lewis, Jr., of Pine Bluff, and Kenneth R. Lewis of Mesquite, Texas; a grandson whom she raised, Vincent Washington; Seven daughters, Paulette Lewis, Carolyn Perkins, Carolyn (Otis) Cohen all of Pine Bluff, Sharon Moody of Star City, Ark., Jean Rea Deshizer of Monticello, Betty Baily and Gail Lewis of Chicago, Ill.; a granddaughter whom she raised, Diane Harris; two brothers, James Johnson of Star City, Minnesota, and Billy Johnson of Portland, Ore.; a sister Katie (Arthur) Vine of Pine Bluff; 49 grandchildren, 93 great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, with the Rev. Harold Shirlee officiating. Interment will be at the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Vizsitation is from 6-7 p.m. at the P.K. Miller Mortuary, Friday, December 28, 2012.
