FLINT, Mich. — Deacon Griffin A. Nelson, 86, of Flint, Mich., passed away Monday, April 2, 2012. He was born in Pine Bluff to the late James and Fannie Nelson.
His survivors include Sons, Eddie Nelson of Milwaukee, Wis., Andrew Nelson of Chicago, Ill., Leavon Nelson of Southfield, Mich., Ricky Nelson of Bessemer, Ala., Felix Nelson of Flint, Mich.; Daughters, Gloria Brown of Flint, Mich., Abby Singleton of Toledo, Ohio; Brothers, Robert Nelson, Earlene Nelson; Sister, Pricilla Edmond; 22 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
Service will be Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at Oak Grove MBC in the Hooker Community by Pastor Charles Hellums, Jr. at 12 noon. Burial will be in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery in Hooker by Brown Funeral Home of Pine Bluff.
Visitation will be Monday from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
