The Grand Prairie Quilt Society held their Sit ‘n Sew on March 12 at the First Christian Church fellowship hall in Stuttgart, with six members present.

The leader opened the meeting with the Thought for the Day: “Touch my sewing machine; I will slap you so hard even Google won’t be able to find you.”

The February minutes and treasurer’s report were given, according to a news release.

After the business session, everyone had their sack lunch, visited and discussed new sewing projects.

During the afternoon work session, a member crocheted on her retreat afghan and one worked on the charity quilt top. Another sorted her art work. A member cut blocks and another pinned her Noah’s Ark quilt in preparation for quilting.

The next meeting will be April 9.
