George B. Stone, age 86, of Pine Bluff, died Thursday, October 3, 2013. He was born October 4, 1926 at Kedron, a son of the late Lee Roy Stone and Elsie Culpepper Stone. He was associated with the Kirby Vacuum Cleaner Company for over 60 years, as both a salesman and an independent factory distributor. Mr. Stone was an active member of Salem Missionary Baptist Church for many years and was also a member of the United Commercial Travelers. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and domino player. He was also predeceased by a grandson, Brandon L. Stone; and a sister, Beatrice Duncan. A family man who loved his family dearly, his survivors include his wife, Sybil Green Stone, whom he married on November 4, 1945 at Pine Bluff; a son, Gary Stone and wife Debbie; a daughter, Patricia Diane Jakus and husband Eric; a brother, Benny Stone and wife Mary; two grandsons, Seth A. Stone and wife Kelly, and Chris Streeter; and two great-grandchildren, Teah M. Streeter and Macy B. Stone; along with many other loving family and friends. Funeral Services will be Monday, 10:00 a.m. at Salem Missionary Baptist Church with Brother Howard Loetscher and Brother Dee Webb officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery by Fuller Hale-South Funeral Services. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
