The Jefferson County Foster Parents Association will collect carrying cases for foster children to use when they have to change locations, a spokesman said in a news release.
The association will be set up at the Walmart Supercenter from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 3, to collect donations of gently used or new carrying bags, suit cases, backpacks, baby bags or plastic totes.
The goal is to keep foster children from having to use garbage bags and plastic store bags when they move.
