First Christian Church of Pine Bluff, 3911 S. Hazel St., will host a Blessing of the Animals at 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3.
The community is asked to bring their pets (on leashes or in pet carriers) to receive a blessing and show support for the Jefferson County Humane Society.
The Humane Society will provide information about fostering and adopting pets and spaying and neutering animals. They will also accept donations of pet food, dog toys and financial contributions.
The Red Bags of Courage, a program that supports cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy, will also provide information and accept donations. Details: 535-5155.
