LITTLE ROCK — Prefiling of bills began at the state Capitol Monday in advance of the Legislature’s fiscal session that begins Feb. 13.
The first measures to be filed were the Joint Budget Committee’s matching House and Senate resolutions to amend the Revenue Stabilization Act, legislation that will be amended during the session to include the budget for the 2012-13 fiscal year.
The measures also include technical changes regarding the authorization of funding for certain two-year colleges.
Gov. Mike Beebe is scheduled to unveil his proposed balanced budget on Jan. 17, the day the Legislature is scheduled to begin budget hearings in advance of the session.
