Sue Smith of Pine Bluff will present a review of “The Paris Wife,” by Paula McLain at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, at First Baptist Church, 6501 Hazel St. The event will be held in the church fellowship hall.
“This New York Times bestseller is the fictional account of the marriage between Earnest Hemmingway and Hadley Richardson, his first of four wives, which is based on letters, their biographies, and Hemmingway’s novels,” according to a news release.
Smith, a retired Pine Bluff school teacher, is married to Robert “Bob” Smith. The couple have four adult children: Sabra Smith Inzer of Dallas, Todd Smith of Little Rock, Paige Smith Jernigan of New York, and Jennifer Smith Dollins of Austin, Texas.
Sue Smith is a member of First Baptist Church and well-known for community and civic activities, according to the release.
The public is invited to attend this free event. Door prizes and refreshments will be served following the review.
