A Pine Bluff woman who was allegedly involved in an altercation with two other women Nov. 3 turned herself in Wednesday and could be charged with two felonies.
Crystal Branch, 24, will have to post a $4,000 bond to be released from the Jefferson County Adult Detention Center after Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney ruled Friday that prosecutors have probable cause to charge her with two counts of aggravated assault.
According to a probable cause affidavit from Pine Bluff Police Department Detective Cassandra Briggs-McAfee, police were sent to a residence in the 2300 block of South Cypress Street at about 9;30 p.m. in response to a reported armed disturbance.
One of the victims said she came home from work early and found her husband and Branch in bed together, and a physical altercation ensued. A second alleged victim, also a female, broke up the altercation.
The two alleged victims went outside “to cool off,” and Branch allegedly got into her vehicle and drove the vehicle at them. They said they hid behind a house until they heard two shots. After hearing the shots, the women said they ran, and Branch tried to hit them a second time with a vehicle while they were trying to get into their own vehicle.

Branch then allegedly left the scene.
Briggs-McAfee reported that when Branch was interviewed, she allegedly said she had gone to the house to take food to the man, and the two of them, along with an infant, laid down on the bed until the man’s wife returned and started the altercation.
Branch said she then left the scene.
In addition to setting the bond, Judge Kearney ordered Branch to have no contact with the alleged victims until the case is settled.
Attorney Caleb Jones appeared in court Friday and said he had been hired to represent Branch.
