The Jefferson County Cooperative Extension Service, 500 S. Idaho St., will offer a class entitled Navigating the Financial Journey from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5.
The cost is $20. The class is sponsored by the University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture Cooperative Extension Service. Topics will include budget development, money management, wise use of credit, and consumer protection.
Instructors will be Extension family and consumer sciences agents from the following counties: Michelle Carter, Bradley County; Diane Clement, Cleveland County; Jane Newton, and Mary Ann Kizer, Jefferson County.
Bankruptcy filers will receive their Certificate of Debtor Education. The class is approved by the United States Bankruptcy Trustee as a financial education program and the course complies with the laws enacted under the Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act.
