The Jefferson County Extension Homemakers are sponsoring their annual pecan and peanut sale, the association’s only fundraiser. The sale provides funding for leadership training, workshops and educational programs for Jefferson and surrounding counties, a spokeswoman said in a news release.
The group is selling 2016 shelled pecans and peanuts in time for the holiday season. Prices are:
• 5 pound box, shelled fancy pecan halves – $50;
• 5 pound cloth bag of shelled peanuts – $16;
• 1 pound chocolate double dip peanuts – $8;

• 30 pound box, shelled fancy pecan halves – $290.
The pecans and peanuts will be available for pick up before Thanksgiving. EHC members will notify customers when the pecans arrive.
Orders should be paid for by Friday, Oct. 28. Checks must be payable to Jefferson County Extension Homemakers and mailed to Jefferson County EHC; Attn: Marnette Reed; 500 S. Idaho St.; Pine Bluff, AR, 71601; or taken to the Jefferson County Cooperative Extension Office at the same address.
