Extension Get Fit will start a new 12-week series Wednesday, March 28, from 12:30-1:30 p.m. at the Jefferson County Cooperative Extension Service, 500 Idaho St.
Sessions will be held Wednesdays and Fridays at the conference room of the Extension Service.
The exercises will be led by Jo Ann Carr and Cathy Lewis, certified Extension Get Fit leaders.
“EGF is appropriate for adults of any age who are either sedentary or very active,” according to a news release.
The cost is $20. Participants are encouraged to continue the exercises throughout the year.

“Research shows that a program of strength training not only improves bone density but reduces falls, improves arthritis symptoms, improves brain activity and increases flexibility and strength,” according to the release.
