Essie Lee Freeman James, 88, of Pine Bluff passed away Thursday, May 7, 2015, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff.
She was born Dec. 11, 1926, in Pine Bluff, Ark. She was the daughter of the late Brooks Freeman and Clara Spade.
Survivors include children Frank James Jr. of Grady, Ark., Ann Maxwell, Norolyn Riggins, Geneva James, Alma Topp and Berniece Reed, all of Pine Bluff, Ark., Elma Halton of Fredericksburg, Va., Glory James of Gainesville, Fla., Amelia Farver of Gautier, Miss., and Iona Bowden of Harvey, Ill.
Funeral service will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday May 16, 2015, at Joy Community Church, 2101 E. Sixth Ave., Pine Bluff, by McKinzie Funeral Home of DeWitt.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, May 15, 2015, at Joy Community Church.
