DUMAS – Funeral services for Ernest L. Scruggs 58, of Dumas, Ark., passed October 22, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center will be held Saturday 1:30 p.m., Pleasant Grove Church in Grady, Ark., Rev. Johnny L. Williams pastor. He was born June 24, 1956 in Grady, Ark., son of the late Cammie Scruggs and Jessie Gates. He accepted Christ at an early age at Pleasant Grove MBC in Grady, Ark. He graduated from Grady High School in Dumas where he was known as the fastest in football and track. He worked mostley various jobs in and around Grady, Ark.
Survivors are three brothers, Earl Alford of Whichita, Kansas, David(Parthinia) Scruggs of Grady, Allen Scruggs of Little Rock, three sisters, Ella Dean of Whichita, Kansas, Ora Scott of Dumas Ark., Betty(Billy) Canada of Gould, Ark., one great aunt Princella Mosely of Dumas, Ark., thirty-one nieces and nephews, a host of great nieces, nephews, cousins.Visitation will be made Friday 3-5 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Grady, Ark. Services by Perry Funeral Home.
