Eddie Collins, a Pine Bluff native, was inducted April 8 into the Arkansas Academy of Industrial Engineering at the University of Arkansas.
At the annual meeting at Fayetteville, the academy recognized distinguished alumni for sustained and outstanding contributions to the industrial engineering profession.
Collins of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, received his Bachelor of Science in industrial engineering degree in 1982 and his Master of Business Administration degree from the U of A in 1983.
He founded the Blacks in Government Chapter for the greater Harrisburg area, is president for the We The People 1787 501(c)(3) multi-racial advocacy and support group, and is CEO of Journeyman Advancement LLC at Harrisburg.
Collins has held industrial engineering positions with several companies including McDonnell Douglas Aircraft, and posts within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and U.S. Department of Commerce.
