CAMDEN — Emogene Parker Elkins, 82, passed away Monday, July 23, 2012, at her home in Camden under the care of OCMC Hospice.
Emogene was born October 29, 1929, in Randall, Cleveland County to Martin Lee Parker and Ida Rodgers Parker. She retired from Harmony Grove School where she was bookkeeper and secretary to the Superintendent of Schools for 18 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 52 years, Charles William Elkins; brothers, Jessie Parker and Brooks Parker; and sisters, Irma Lisenby and Doris Ray.
She is survived by her son Doug Elkins and his wife, Janice of Lyme Regis, Dorset, UK; daughter, Carmen Wilson and her husband, Gary of Camden, Ark.; grandchildren, Sarah Bryant and Shawn Wilson (Anna); and great-grandchildren, Taylor Bryant and Jace Wilson all of Camden, Ark.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 26, 2012, at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Cleveland County, Ark., Rev. Pam BrulÄ will officiate the service.
