MONTICELLO — Eleanor K. Hunter Echols died on Friday, February 3, 2012 at the Woods of Monticello. She is the widow of Lamar Hunter, who died in combat in WW II and Doyle E. Echols.
She was born to John B. Reep and Ethel Doster Reep on December 6, 1916 in the community of Rye, Ark. She was a member of Wood Avenue Presbyterian Church.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, one young son, three sisters and a brother. She is survived by one son, Doyle Randal Echols (Elizabeth), one daughter, Eddye Ann Hunter Reinhart (Richard), two sisters, Lois Lack of Monticello and Ava Hairston of Warren; five grandchildren, one step grandchild, six great-grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren.
Her family would like to express sincere appreciation for the care provided by her grandson, Dr. Jeff Reinhart and staff, Drew Memorial Hospital, The Woods of Monticello and to a very special friend and care giver, Mary Thompson.
