Edward White


Edward A. White, 58, of Pine Bluff, passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2015, at his home. Mr. White was born September 27, 1956, in Pine Bluff, a son of Betty Ann Cochran White and the late John Allen White, Jr.

He was a lifetime resident of Pine Bluff, where he graduated from Watson Chapel High School in 1974. He married Tammy Lynn Horton on September 17, 1983, in Pine Bluff.

Mr. White had worked for the State Highway Department, Florida Drum (now Berenfield Containers) and the Coca-Cola Bottling Company in Pine Bluff, where he worked for 23 years. He was currently a mechanic at the Jefferson County Road Department, where he had worked for 15 years.

He was a member of Highway 79 South Church of Christ and also attended South Pinewood Baptist Church. As an avid deer hunter, he was a member of the Never Hungry Hunting Club. He also enjoyed fishing and mud racing.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Tammy L. White of Pine Bluff; two sons, Scotty Allen and Shaun Douglas White and his future daughter-in-law, Becca, all of Pine Bluff; mother, Betty Ann Cochran White of Pine Bluff; brother, Glen White of Pine Bluff; three sisters, Charlotte (Archie) Yelverton of Pine Bluff, Saundra (Randy) Blasengame of Glendale, and Renee (Chad) Gossage of East End; his favorite pal, his dog Wiggles; and numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and his mud racing family.

Funeral services will be Friday, August 7, 2015, 2 p.m., in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson with Mr. Clarence Fell officiating. Burial will follow at Fitzhugh Cemetery by Ralph Robinson and Son Funeral Directors.
