Edgewood Elementary School partnered with Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department to raise money and get toys for the CALL (Children of Arkansas Loved for a Lifetime) and Voices for Children. The toys and money will go to foster children in Jefferson County.
“We had two classes that collected change for the cause,” spokeswoman Julie Taylor said. “Ms. Bobo’s kindergarten class raised $65.20. They took the money and went to Fred’s and purchased toys. Mrs. Francis’ class raised $25. The money will be used to buy other items that will be needed for the CALL.”
Edgewood students were excited to be able to help other children. “We wish all of them a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year,” she said.
