Dollarway seeks high-tech grant

The Dollarway School District recently applied for a $250,000 grant to convert the high school into a new tech high school by 2019.

Jeff Spaletta, principal of Dollarway High School, announced the proposal in a news release Thursday.

If the grant is received, the conversion would be a four-year process and would include adding technology to classrooms one grade level a year, he said.

The application is in the review process. The district expects to hear further details in November, Spaletta said.
