The Jefferson County Arkansas Department of Human Services Retirees’ group recently presented two scholarships, according to a news release.
Book scholarship recipients were Charla Colen and Nia Hall, both freshmen at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff.
“The scholarship is given in memory of Eloise Bates, who organized the group as Elite Friends and Acquaintances,” according to the release.
