The Arkansas Department of Correction will graduate 95 cadets from its Basic Correctional Officer Training program at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 25.
The event will be held at the James “Jitters” Morgan White Hall Community Center at White Hall.
The training program consists of six weeks of training which meets accreditation standards of the American Correctional Association, as well as the training needs of the department, according to a news release.
After the training, new officers are required to complete at least 40 hours of on-the-job training with a field training officer before being placed on an assignment.
