THE REGULAR ARKANSAS Missionary Baptist Convention Inc. Christian Education Department will host the Dr. T.R. Ramey Christian Education Conference beginning at 8 a.m. Saturday. The session will be held at St. Peter’s Rock Missionary Baptist Church at Dumas. Several classes will be held, according to a news release from Barbara Dixon, assistant dean.
UNIFIED CHRISTIAN ALLIANCE will hold its 27th annual Baccalaureate Service at 4 p.m. Sunday at Breath of Life Church, 1313 S. Pine St. Scholarships will be awarded to area high school seniors who plan to attend the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, according to a news release. The speaker will be Madison Powell, president of the Alpha Rho Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. at UAPB.

PRESIDING BISHOP Michael Leon Mitchell and wife, Cordelia D. Mitchell, Episcopal supervisor, will be honored by the 12th Episcopal District of the African Methodist Episcopal Church at the Quadrennial Celebration. The semi-formal affair will be held at 7 p.m. May 10 in the Wally Allen Ballroom of the Statehouse Convention Center at Little Rock. The event is held every four years to commemorate the end of a bishop’s four-year assignment in a district, according to a news release.
