NEW JERUSALEM MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH, 1317 S. Texas St., will host the Prayer and Pizza Gathering for youth from 2-3 p.m. Sunday. The guest speaker will be Faydra Handie of Hope & Faith Learning Center. Prayer and Pizza is a monthly gathering where participants pray for and encourage children. The event is free and the community is invited to attend, according to coordinator Dee Clay. Pizza is served after the service. Sponsors include Drs. THE CITY WIDE MISSION will meet at 1 p.m. Monday at St. Peter’s Rock Missionary Baptist Church, 1201 S. Catalpa St. The Rev. Kirby Gulley, pastor of Eighth Avenue Missionary Baptist Church, will be the guest speaker, according to a news release. Participants are asked to bring a box of cereal for the outreach project for the month. The Rev. Darren Edgerson is the pastor of St. Peter’s Rock.
THE WOMEN OF FAITH will sponsor a turn-around trip to Eureka Springs to see the Passion Play on July 12. SARDIS BAPTIST CHURCH will host the annual meeting for the Grapevine Cemetery Memorial Service on Sunday after the church’s 11 a.m. worship service. After the memorial service, there will be a potluck fellowship meal. The memorial will also include grave decorations before morning service. “We encourage anyone connected to the Grapevine Cemetery to come join in the celebration,” according to a news release. The Grapevine Cemetery Association is a registered tax-exempt organization, and donations are tax deductible.
