NEW JERUSALEM MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH, 1317 S. Texas St., will host the Prayer and Pizza Gathering for youth from 2-3 p.m. Sunday. The guest speaker will be Faydra Handie of Hope & Faith Learning Center. Prayer and Pizza is a monthly gathering where participants pray for and encourage children. The event is free and the community is invited to attend, according to coordinator Dee Clay. Pizza is served after the service. Sponsors include Drs. Martha Flowers, Brandi Wright, Janet Curry, Rontae Graham and Kenneth Lambert as well local lawyer Efrem Neely. The Rev. M Kriston Wilson is the pastor at New Jerusalem.

AMOS CHAPEL MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH, 1307 W. 16th Ave., will host its Men’s Day at 11 a.m. Sunday. The guest preacher will be Hank Wilkins IV, bishop and pastor of Living Grace Church in Pine Bluff. Amos Chapel Male Chorus and Friends will sing. Amos Chapel’s pastor, Robert Willis Jr., invites the general public to worship with them.

LIBERTY HILL MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH, 6300 U.S. 79 South, will celebrate its 120th anniversary at 3 p.m. Sunday. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Travis Harden, pastor of Greater Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. The Rev. Aaron Johnson is pastor of Liberty Hill.

FIRST MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH, 4500 Faucett Road, will conduct its 2024 Spring Revival at 7 p.m. May 22-23. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Renice Davis, pastor of Bethany Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Pine Bluff. The theme is “Kingdom Reset” (Matthew 6:33).

KINGS HIGHWAY MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH, 2312 Fluker St., will celebrate its annual Mission Ministry Service at 3 p.m. Sunday. The guest speaker will be Hilda May of Barnett Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Pine Bluff. The theme is “On A Mission To Tell The World About Jesus” (Psalm 96:3). Everyone is invited to attend. The Rev. Anthony J. Howard is pastor of Kings Highway Missionary Baptist Church.

THE CITY WIDE MISSION will meet at 1 p.m. Monday at St. Peter’s Rock Missionary Baptist Church, 1201 S. Catalpa St. The Rev. Kirby Gulley, pastor of Eighth Avenue Missionary Baptist Church, will be the guest speaker, according to a news release. Participants are asked to bring a box of cereal for the outreach project for the month. The Rev. Darren Edgerson is the pastor of St. Peter’s Rock.

THE WOMEN OF FAITH will sponsor a turn-around trip to Eureka Springs to see the Passion Play on July 12. The trip includes transportation, Christ of the Ozarks statue photo stop, lunch, Holy Land Bus Tour, Museum Tour, shopping, dinner buffet, pre-show activities and the outdoor drama. SARDIS BAPTIST CHURCH will host the annual meeting for the Grapevine Cemetery Memorial Service on Sunday after the church’s 11 a.m. worship service. After the memorial service, there will be a potluck fellowship meal. The memorial will also include grave decorations before morning service. “We encourage anyone connected to the Grapevine Cemetery to come join in the celebration,” according to a news release. The Grapevine Cemetery Association is a registered tax-exempt organization, and donations are tax deductible. If unable to attend, contributors to the upkeep of the cemetery can send donations to: Grapevine Cemetery/Treasurer, 9310 Grant 14, Pine Bluff, AR 71603.

NEW COMMUNITY CHURCH, 321 N. Birch St., will host its Kingdom Builders Program at 6 p.m. May 26. The featured speaker will be Sam Gibson, a deacon at New Community. New Community also has children’s church at 11 a.m. Sundays in the fellowship hall, prayer at noon on weekdays, and Bible Study at 6 p.m. Wednesdays. The community is invited to attend.

NEW COMMUNITY CHURCH, 321 N. Birch St., will celebrate Women’s Day on June 9. At 11 a.m., the featured speaker will be Tacarra Goodwin, a member of New Community. At 2:30 p.m., the guest speaker will be Jenise “Sandy” Todd, a local pastor. The guest choir director will be Donna Huskey. The community is invited to attend. The program is hosted by the first lady, Janice Lockett. The pastor/apostle is Patrick Lockett Sr.
